Dr. Terrence M. Major, DDS
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
University of Tennessee College of Dentistry
After completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, I graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and have been practicing dentistry in Chattanooga for over thirty years. The practice of dentistry has been a wonderful career for me as I have been able to improve the lives of many people. I enjoy being on the cutting edge of dentistry and am constantly learning and implementing many new procedures and techniques. I have been married for over thirty years and enjoy playing trumpet in two bands, boating, and spending time with my family and friends.
Continuing education is very important in the ever-changing field of dentistry. Over the years I have continued to advance my learning in order to improve my personal skillset and to give patients the best options in current dental care. I have earned fellowships from The Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and from The Las Vegas Institute. I have also completed a residency in implant placement from The Alabama Implant Education program at the Foundry. I have completed IV sedation training at Montefiore Hospital in The Bronx, New York. Additionally, I coach other dentists in improving their practices through Sunrise Dental Solutions and have received several awards from this organization including the Most Outstanding Practice.

Dr. Hernandez believes that you should never stop learning, and he is always expanding his knowledge in all aspects of dentistry.

Steven VanDenburgh, DDS
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Loma Linda University
- Cosmetic Dentistry
- Neuromuscular Dentistry
Dr. Steven VanDenburgh had the honor of owning his own dental practice for 29 years which he recently sold to relocate to Harrison Tennessee and make his home forever.
Dr. VanDenburgh enjoys and finds great satisfaction in restoring beautiful smiles, function, and health for his patients, and understands how this brings confidence and joy into their lives. He also enjoys forming trusting and lasting relationships with both patients and those he works with each day. He believes this has the effect of turning appointments into much more relaxed and enjoyable experiences and strives to make visits as comfortable as he can. Dr. VanDenburgh also enjoys using the latest science and technology and spends many hours learning about them in order to bring them into his way of practicing.
Outside the office, he enjoys distance cycling, playing drums, guitar, and, currently, bass in bands for many years, ranging from Blues, to Rock, to Country, and he has no plans to stop. He also loves RV camping, Harley rides with his wife, Lynette, and boating. Currently, he is attempting to do woodworking, starting with patio furniture and a porch swing for home. And then, of course, there is Star Trek!
